Hey thanks for the tip! I checked that instruction, and it may apply to my problem. Once in a while the face does glitch when the ignition is turned off, but the main issue is a reset while the ignition is on.

Every few days my 7998 will reset itself. This is to say that the power will shut off, the face will return to the default position, and all stored information will be gone. After this happens, I can press any button to turn the power back on. I have done enough checking to conclude the problem...

The filter on the amp is defeated. The deck is filtering at 80Hz lp.

I would think pink noise to be the best method, but perhaps they want it adjusted under normal operating conditions. That's the only thing I can think of.

Well, that is entirely possible. My taste far exceeds the pocketbook, as usual. The enclosure is ported, and is some space-shippy RF design to ease airflow. I have built many myself in the past, but this was a lazy job, to be sure. Thanks for helping, and I'll keep tweaking on it.

I guess I left out a few details, hehe. The amp is operating bridged, and the gains are centered. The sub was purchased already enclosed and is new, so I can only assume the volume is leak-free. The sub is a single voice coil model, and is indicated as a 4-ohm model. I have not physically...
