i cant for the life of me find a rms but its peak is 2800, someone recomended a 1000w

I have jsut purchased a SPL SPLW-15 DVC 1Ohm sub. I'm not sure what amp i need, do i need a 1ohm stable amp or a 2ohm(paralel and series would produce the two restances right? ) I'm looking to spend $200-$300 for an amp(ebay:)) also, am i going to need to get a new alternator or 2 batteries or...

I can find a RMS anywhere, i can find 2800 Handling power but thats th peak i think. in the auction it said that he was selling a 1600 watt amp also that could power it. so my guess is like 1600. Oh well, at any rate i live in a crappy little town that knows nothing about car audio. people...

Hello, this is my first post here. I just purchased SPLW-15 for $180 on ebay. I know SPL make the Soundstream Woofers wich are supossed to be realy good. But does anybody know about this speaker? i havent been able to find any reviews. Secondly, What am i going to need to house and run this...
