I'm wondering if the positive and negative being shorted was somehow causing the distortion, so unplugging the speaker didn't change that but reducing the power going through that channel did... Just a guess. Hopefully fixing the wires solves both issues lol, Good luck!

Well that will definitely cause problems lol, were you testing for continuity with the headunit unplugged? If so, it sounds like you'll have to check the wires for damage. Could be pinched in a door or under a piece of trim.

Yes, that changes things because those do not have equivalent area. Area of a circle is pi*r^2. For a 3" pipe that's 7.07 in^2 and for two 1.5" pipes that's 3.53 in^2 total. You'd have to use 4 of the 1.5" pipes to achieve the same port area as a single 3".

Apologies if I'm over-explaining this but what you're looking at here is vent (port) displacement, not woofer displacement. Just below this chart on the spec sheet it lists the woofer displacement as 0.05 ft^3. That's what you want to enter into subbox pro where it asks for woofer displacement.

How is your battery? I'd check the voltage of your battery when the amp shuts off. Could be that you're dropping voltage too low. Also check the voltage of the remote wire as well.

Seth is known to embellish the ratings on his battery. I'd recommend getting a diy kit from sriko batteries instead.
