Are the preset numbers, etc illuminated?

I've heard that they have good midbass response, but how about the midrange and treble aspect of them? With the EQ and electronic crossover, are you having any signal noise issues?

Yeah, I checked out that review last week. It seems that they'll sound pretty decent going active, but it may be a while before I can afford to set that up. I'm looking to get the Alpine h701 eventually to use with my head unit/dvd player, but want to get the speakers first.

Thanks. I've heard some good and bad about them. The big thing for me is if they be much better than the Quarts I have now. The Quarts aren't exactly horrid, but I just can't get the sound and presence that I want from them.
