    The Beer Thread II

It was, I would definitely recommend sampling it if you get a chance. Plenty of delicious subtle flavors to enjoy while drinking it. From the Dogfish Head website: "This was the first beer in our Ancient Ales series. This sweet yet dry beer is made with ingredients found in 2,700-year-old...

    The Beer Thread II

Just had this one for the first time the other night, Dogfish Head's "Midas Touch". Enjoyed it quite a bit, would not have guessed it was 9% ABV since it was so smooth.

    Mp3 or Cd

You can't with your current head unit. As mentioned in this thread, you're bypassing the iPod's internal DAC when you're connecting through USB and using the DAC in your head unit. Even if you used a USB connection, your songs would still sound pretty terrible since they're encoded in 128. The...

    Mp3 or Cd

320 kbit/s is an MP3, compressed audio. Audio stored on CD's is not compressed and has a bit rate of 1,411.2 kbit/s. 320 is the highest standardized bit rate for MP3's though, so it's often equated to being the same as CD quality. I remember back in the Napster days when people claimed 128...

    Mp3 or Cd

And there's your problem, especially when you combine the two. You might actually prefer the digital compressed (nasty) sound of poorly encoded mp3's though. Many people have grown up with them and when they hear clean sounding music, it just sounds "off". Just play and listen to what you enjoy.

    JL W6v3

I know, check who I was quoting. I was referencing blobb454 saying that double07 had built many ported enclosures for the new W6v3.

The W6v3's just came out a week ago, you must be talking about the W6v2's.

Other than CDs where do your music?

Eh, sort of a grey area. The sites themselves (Waffles.fm and What.cd) don't actually hold any of the information that you're downloading. They just contain the torrent file that directs your client to other users and the file on their machine essentially. Which is why after they shut down OiNK...

Other than CDs where do your music?

The web address is http://www.waffles.fm, but you won't really see anything but a log in screen talking about waffle recipes. The only way to get an invite is to have an existing member send you one. Currently there are ~120,000 members. However, invites are not always open (they're currently...

Other than CDs where do your music?

Waffles.fm is where I get all my music. Used to have an account to What.cd as well, but I forgot what my username/pw for it is. Those are the two main sites that sprung up after OiNK got shut down in '07. Both Waffles and What are private, invite only bit torrent sites just like Oink was. High...

    what this country needs...

Whew, glad you cleared that up for me, could have gotten into some trouble without knowing that! You made an incorrect statement and I called you out on it. Hillary Clinton has not "tried" (or wait, do I use "did" in this situation...help?) to pass legislation to ban video games and rap music...
