No doubt. I've been a member of so many forums that by now it's just habit to type intelligibly. Trust me, when I started out, I was horrible. But I suppose with time comes maturity, so here I am now, heh. I know what you mean about the new members though, if only they could type with some...

I actually requested the 10"s, but they called me mid-installation and said that they didn't have them. They apologized for the trouble and gave me the 13"s at the same price, lucky me. haha But yeah, if the 10s perform anything like my 13s, you will love them. Good luck!

Definitely CadillacMatt, i've actually been helping a few friends who are now interested in systems themselves after seeing what my car sounds like. As for a video, this is just me playing with some stuff... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nM5ZV5yDOlw

Yeah I made sure they did that during the install, thanks pluto. Anyone know how loud I can turn these subs out without risking blowing them out? I really don't plan to try it, but just incase - I know I have a Woofer L on the HU that goes from -15 to +15, and then I have the actual volume that...

I'm new and looking for advice based on my budget.

Holy shit, it's my dream come true. I have to post some videos of this thing... not much compared to all you competition junkies, but it is certainly amazing for my wants and needs. I have a bit of rattling around the license plate, and a tiny bit of the actual trunk, so i'll have to fix that...

    Kenwood kdc-x492 USB Zune compatible?

Hey guys, I just had a quick question. I have a 30GB Zune which has all my music, and I was wondering if I can connect that directly to the front USB port on the KDC-x492. It has a front USB port, but it only mentions its great support for iPods, though I don't know if it works with anything...

Bump because my system is all set and installed. I ended up going with a pretty similar set up to what I had earlier posted. I headed over to Avenue Sound with a printout of woofersetc.com prices and they matched every single one of them. Installation was $350. During the installation, I...

    I've never built a box.

Twisted has provided me with an excellent design, 2.0 ft^3 @ 31.0 Hz... Thanks guys.

    I've never built a box.

Twisted, thanks, I just figured i'd learn something in the mean time. Bonesninja, the port specs were exactly what they recommend at their website, and that is why I chose those dimensions. Thanks for your criticism man EDIT: Realized this might have sounded sarcastic, but I completely meant...

    I've never built a box.

As the thread states, I have never built a box. I am designing one for the trunk of my '94 BMW 325is, where I am putting two 10" JL Audio 10W1v2-4's. I need someone to look this over though. I'm not sure if I did this correctly, but my basic process was this: - First, I looked on the JL Audio...

Some test designs: Front Above 15.85 in. x 14.25 in. x 14.25 in. 1.86258 ft³ @ 31.0 Hz (This is external though, i'm not quite sure how to turn that into internal.) I spent a lot of time on this... is it right?

Does volume have to be exactly the same? The recommended JL audio box dimensions are as follows: 18 in. x 13.25 in. x 13.5 in. = 3219.75 cubic in. Can I do 15.855 in. x 14.25 in. x 14.25 in. = 3219.55 cubic in. or is that too much off? Also, there's the "SLOT PORT INTERNAL DIMENSIONS"... 1.0...

That was a bit confusing. One cubic foot = 12x12x12, not 14x14x14. And 13x15x14 is not the same as 14x14x14. I mean I understand that you can modify the dimensions to keep volume the same, but the example that you said wasn't the same volume...

Awesome, but there's a problem. The Width of the recommended ported box is 18 in. My trunk is 33 in wide, therefore two of these boxes will be 36 in. What should I do?
