I have a JVCHDR50 but the USB port is all busted up. I liked the built-in HD and ipod ctrl was good. Search and random play via a usb stick sucks and sometimes random just turns off. My question....Any newer replacable JVC model that I won't have to rewire/install with the features above...

Altar: Can you explain further what you mean by this? Sorry, I'm a noobie. Does the 690 not have RMS (I think that's what it's called?) for radio stations? Or are you refering to the hard drive?
