I'm looking at upgrading my stock 6x8 speakers to 6.5" components and also add an amp to drive them. I have about $800 to spend on them...any suggestions on what to get. I want a SQ system when I'm completely done.

Thanks dkguitarist...maybe i should concentrate on the components first...now i need to figure out how to put my money to good use..i wanna do this myself. no experince doing this but wanna get the best i can get with the money i have...so now i need components 6.5" and an amp.

I listen to alot of new and classic rock, but every now and then i listen to hip hop. I want a setup geared for SQ but have the bass when i want it. not sure if i should start with my subs or my components first?
