Thanks @marc2112 I appreciate high-quality old school gear. It appears none of the current double-DINs, with all their 'droid and iPhone integration bells and whistles, can do anything more than hi-res FLAC and DSD in stereo.

I'd already consulted the posterior of the Internet, and the "suggestions" were similar, so thanks, but AI obviously doesn't know a definitive answer to whether or not any current models can decode DTS or play 5.1 discrete channels. Apparently AI hasn't filched enough information just yet...

Anyone know of a double-DIN HU that can decode DTS and/or play 5.1 channel FLAC/WAV ? I'm on the verge of ripping out the Mark Levinson system in my '08 Lexus IS350, but I really do like the surround from the DVD-A. Fleetwood Mac, Foreigner, Seal, Muse, Depeche Mode ... sound incredible in...
