Can anyone give me an idea of what to expect if I changed my sub stage from the REsex12 in a 2.2'^3 with 500 watts rms to a single or dual (if worth it on the power) SA-8 setup ported and tuned similarly with the same power. Or just leave it alone?

It would sound like crap, all i have is a nikon digital cam.... as soon as the bass hits....lol, but I could put one up. I actually have some trunk and wing flex- even a little around the sunroof- but am still virtually rattle free!

Man, shame on you!!!! That IDQ would have been icing on the cake. Even if your not a bass head, it would have been ideal for your comps, I rather have an IDQ than my RE any day of the week- but ya, there like 239ish and I was on a budget of sorts. I believe an IDmax and XS's will be my next...

    New sub stage.....

Well, Im sure the ML3000 is a great sub, but how much better than an IDmax for twice as much...?

    Metal music on subs

The size of the sub is not the issue, the design of the box its in and type of sub that's more important imo.

Alpine Type R - Anything Comparable?

Id say an RE SE/x would be comparable to a type R. And a decent budget amp would be an MB Quart dsc mono of some sorts imo. There are however, many other comparable products as well.

Yea, I have the same comp set and have the tweet actuation set @ -3 in the crossovers. I have them mounted on the bottom of the A pillar adjacent from the side view mirrors on the doors. They were a bit much at +3 and better at 0. But -3 cleaned them up nicely. I also run a dsc amp too, a 4125...

    New sub stage.....

Currently Im running a single 12" RE se/x 12 d2 w/ 500watts rms in 2.2@ 33. It preforms well, but like alot of you here... I want more, more more. Im thinking about either another identical sub with a new box, say 4.0'^3 @ 28 with hopes of more SQ, and more spl due to lower tuning and twice as...

Well, The Hu is something I had in the car for some time now. I got it for $199.00 back when circuit city was going bust. A general breakdown of cost: MBQ 4125 : $ 164.99 shipped from Ebay ID ctx comps : $ 212.00 out the door from a local car audio shop. Could have bought them for...

They work great from what I have seen however, you have to trim the shielding off the wire just right and spread the strands out perfectly before you tighten down on the nut. If you bare down on the nut to hard and your wire gets in the treads, you'll shear the nut right off. Other than that...

Thanks man. I did have (2) kicker xpl 12's and eclipse coaxials with a power acoustic amp and denon tape deck in my first car back in high school. However, I was 16, and didnt know anything but how to make it work and hook it up. Lets just say it was really cool for a 16 year old in the school...

Anyone know much about load boss alternators form ebay? I was considering getting a 170 amp one for my car so i could have more electrical nuts so to speak. I thinking about running my 4125 strictly up front with some additional kick panels and adding a good mono amp in the 1500rms range for a...
