    4ch amp configuration:

Just wondering I have 4ch amp and want to run a set of 2-way components and a 6 1/2 in midbass to the front 2 channels to run a 2ohm load and I also want to run two 12's in bridged mode, they are 8ohms. I just wanted to make sure I could do this. It seems as if the amp would basically be running...

Which Cd Changer Compat. With Kenwood Krc807

Just bought a Eagle Summit that has a Kenwood KRC 807 head unit. I was going to just rip the deck out and put my Kenwood CD unit in, but once I noticed how nice the unit was I wanted to know if anyone knew how to tell which Kenwood changers are compatible with the KRC 807.

93 Mits Mirage need some ideas?

Had to get rid of the civic. however I was able to pick up a fairly good condition Mirage, actually Eagle Summit but we all know it's a Mirage. I still have the components below. I know the kick panels won't work so I will have to use the doors with the 5.25's. Any other ideas. Thought about...

Can u install lcd's in 92-95 Civic Headrest

Just wanted to know if it is possible to mount 5.6 lcd's in 92-95 civic headrest. Headrest have only one support instead of two and I am wondering if there is anything that would prevent the install. If it is a problem I might just install a 7in flip down monitor where the dome light rest.

Amp distorts at low gain level

OK. Just got my amp back from repair and now I have to turn the gain control to max on two of the four channels I have for the front components. So basically at low volume levels the components are bearly audible and are distorted. What gives. Did I just waste money on a repair or what. BTW the...

    Midbass from Kickpanels

Just wanted to know if Kick Panels are suppose to supply the same Midbass as in the doors. I have a set of Blaupunkt 6.5 separates in kick panels and wanted to know if the kick panel is not mounted tightly to the floor would this cause a lack of midbass, tightly meaning I can see where there is...

Calling all Installers. Best way to becoming installer

When it comes all down to it, I just like to install. I mean when I was saving up for my present system, not once did it ever cross my mind to have someone else install the system. And even though I had to trouble shoot a bad amp, I still enjoyed every bit of it. And I was very impressed with...

Calling all Installers. Best way to becoming installer

You know AudioLife I told my wife that even though I am not a fan Of CC or BB, although I love HI-Fi Buys, I would probally have to start off to get some basic everyday experience. I am planning on attending the school in Florida, INSTALLER INSTITUTE. BTW I can get my certification for MECP when...

Calling all Installers. Best way to becoming installer

I have been interested in becoming an installer for several years now and because I found out my present position on my job will be eliminated in October, I decided that this would be an excellent time to do what I like to do, install car audio. So I am going to contact the Install Institute in...

    US Aucostics

Well Daniel I have to tell ya. I have a USAcoustics 4085 model and I will say this I DID NOT BUY NEW, bought from EBAY. Even though the seller sold me an almost gone power supply in the amp, When the amp did work I was highly impress. The Amp is very clean the only thing is that the crossover...

    first install Help!

One more thing. The Accessory wire and the Remote wire have to different purposes all together. The Accessory wire that is coming out of the H/U is used to keep a constant 12v power supply to your memory back-up(clock, and preset radio stations) Without the Accessory Wire you would have to set...

    first install Help!

OK Jay. Now on the your H/U there should have been a remote antennae wire, blue if I am not mistaken. Now since you would have used the Civic's black, L-shape antennae wire to plug into the back of your H/U. Now the remote power antennae wire, blue should connect up to the blue remote wire that...

    2 many X-overs on speakers????

Well Audiolife I'm not really a newbie. This is my first install however I have been an audiophile since 1990 and had my first piece of a system installed professionally. But I had been saving up my money and wanted the satisfaction of installing everything myself. So I am very proud of myself...

    2 many X-overs on speakers????

Chris there is only one fuse and it is a 35 amp fuse. Under the hood I have a 60amp fuse. I think I will change back to 40amp. I don't know why I figured 60 would be better. Better way to kill something is what it is.

    2 many X-overs on speakers????

It is definitely great. BTW should I switch to 4ga wire, I mean the readings on the multimeter were fine and also since USAcoustics rated all power ratings at 12.9v, my amp is probally putting out more power than the 410w I am assuming. Reason for question is because I have some older, believe...
