How would i go about designing a liquid cooled system

Is there anything that i could do to prevent my amp from overheating. I have 4 gauge power and ground supplies, so it couldn't be underpowered. The amp is an MTX 4250D 350 watts. It powers two 12", 1220W Infinity subs. It sounds great but after about an hour (long road trips) it shuts off...

It's a MTX4250D. There is no indicator lights but it still has power. the unit gets hot after playing, then it comes back on after it takes a break. I have been told that it is a design flaw with MTX. Supposedly they some giant caps inside the amp that don't disipate heat very well.

My amp is inside my trunk it's mounted on top of my box, right beneath the trunk lid The amp cuts out after some time. I have 4 gauge power and ground supplies what is the problem.

Where is the best location to put an amp to prevent overheating? I already have 4gauge power and ground supplies. I don't think the trunk lets it get enough air. The amp is a MTX 4250D
