    should i trade my orion for a jl 500/1?

    I wouldn't. Especially if it's your 1200D PLUS CASH. Slash 500/1 is a nice amp (rock solid build quality), but I tend to HATE regulated power supplies. I want 500 watts at 12V and close to 800 at 14. Not 500 at both.
