turns out the FFFFF's on the screen means HU is locked out and displays f's when serial # should be displayed. Just reset pinhole to get serial # and then have to call eclipse to get HU unlocked.

but two weeks ago when i reinstalled my system i was taking the negative terminal off....i tried pliers on the nut around negative lead and it would not budge......later i realized i could just lift it off. i'm pretty sure the pliers didn't loose at all.

Hi....I was having this same problem with the F's on the screen. It still won't recognize my key cd and now it only displays my esn number on the screen. When i hodl func +6 it brings up a 6 digit code but it won't let me change it with the radio presets. i've done this process over the phone...
