Yesterday we bought a new HU, and that was the problem. After everything we went through all week the easiest fix was the problem. I knew he had bought a cheap unit (all he could afford) but i didnt know it was that cheap. Again thank you.

can i hook the power and memory wire to the same constant source of power. i was thinking that would keep the radio running of the battery and not the electrical system?

The radio cuts out. if you put the volume up to far it will cut out until you lower it. and while it is on lower volume it will cut in and out.
