Well I just finished my first install in my car (that I have done myself). I hooked up the Ipod adapter to my P880prs and am proud, no honored, to have laid the sacrifice of my bleeding finger upon the altar of car audio. Hopefully there are many more injuries to come!

I have been rather impressed with mine so far (d361) I'm giving them 80 watts and like the crispness of the top end, however I can't really comment on the midbass as I haven't deadened my doors yet and they're rattling pretty badly at the moment.

In general I agree that live albums can **** pretty bad, however, as I sit here I can't think of ANY song that beats Hotel California off of the Hell Freezes Over album. If I sold sound equiptment retail I would have that CD within arm's reach at all times. I completely agree with that...

Dude, you would be MUCH better off with your previous equipment than the Bose crap. Just take a look at the speakers they use if you get a chance. They are the same cheap paper cones as any standard econocar stereo, they just use more processing to make them sound a little better. I'm sure...

Standard is 3.5 but Pioneer feels compelled to make everyone's life much more difficult so their HU connection is a 2.5. Almost all MP3 players and headphone jacks are 3.5

+2. I have been more than happy with mine so far. Great build quality, ridiculous amount of features, classy look, great SQ. Not much more you could need or want, especially in this price range.

I happen to think the loud sounds like sh!t on the 880 as well, but I'm sure different models sound different. The BBE seems to have a similar but less dramatic effect than loud anyways.

I hate to beat a dead horse on this, just thought I would give it one final bump just in case...
