I figured I didn't need a cap, but I'm pretty new to this whole car audio deal. Tony, this isn't my post. I just wanted to add my own thoughts. I think you're confusing me with someone else .

Just to follow up: The ground going into my cap. was slightly loose, and even though it was touching with the cap I guess it just wasn't secure enough. I tightened it myself, drove around all day and all was well (except my speakers fading out over bumps... probably need to tighten some more...

My Hifonics Zeus amp recently started doing this with my Cerwin Vega sub... It'll handle some power for ~5 minutes and then the red light goes on and no more boom boom. It has been working fine for MONTHS and only as of recent has this started happening. I was trying to tighten some screws and...
