2016 Silverado Double Cab - Sub Rec

i've got a pair of sundown sd3-10's under the back seat of my 2014 crew cab silverado running off a scv1500. As far as mounting the amp I removed the back seats and used some epoxy to attach 2 strips of birch to the back wall of the truck. i screwed the amp to those strips. The Sd3-10s are...

    sundown x 15 box help

A lot are saying go very big on the volume, but i don't quite agree there. I'd say do something like 3.25-3.5 cubes with around 60-65 square inches of port. A 32hz tune will def allow you to play any amount of low frequency stuff you could want.

    whos fixing tenney alternators??

Best of luck on the repairs. A lot of them are BAD. It may be something simple that caused it to fail, but it'll be a good bit more getting it back to non fire hazard status.

    Sundown Audio enclosure questions

the sd-2 is fairly sq oriented when sealed. they can do spl in a proper ported box, but it's not their prowess. i think the sd-2 is a great choice for you. its recommended sealed volume is .5 cubes, so i think it'll do quite well in just that.

Need advice on hooking up car audio system

are you sure it's 1 ohm stable. i just looked everywhere and it shows 2 ohm stable. 1 ohm stable means 1 ohm is the minimum impedance it can run. The lower the impedance, or ohms, you run the more stress it puts on the amp. But also, most amps make more power when the impedance is lower as well.

    Trunk Battery

mike and I recomend 1-/1+ 1/0 ofc per 100a of alt power. I'd add at least another 2 runs of 1/0. 4 more would be ideal, but with your power shouldn't be necissary. A battery would make distribution a bit easier. Maybe add a small battery in the back? Someone from canada would certainly be a...

    Trunk Battery

you just have 1 run of 1/0 and a chassis ground? If so i would get your wiring in shape before adding a battery.

    For SPL Sundown or Nvx?

never used nvx subs. They look decent, although their specs they list are pretty limited, as far as tsp go. So it's hard to compare them for me. I do love me some sundown. Sa's are great all around subs. The new x's are low end monsters, but don't seem to be liking anything above 45hz, so you...

    Battery - Alternator HELP

sorry. just wait a little bit, see if it goes away. the alternator has the same plug as your stock one does, right? If it doesn't after a couple days you may need to go into the auto parts store and have them put it on a scan tool to clear the code.

    Recommend me a battery charger

The West Advisor: Battery Charging I prefer to follow the guidelines set forth by pretty much all agm manufactures, which would be Don't exceed 14.6 if you can help it. If you wanna do that that's fine. Plenty of people do with little trouble. I don't live on the edge like that though.
