than that is a one in a million manufacture error, send it back. Even ebay gives you a couple week return, if it wasn't reading right from day one. And if you bought it used, what do you expect. People don't get rid of 2003-4 models for nothing.

Free air meaning mount it on a plate of MDF in the trunk. Like a wall setup. I did it in my t-bird, while I was waiting for my box to be built. that what free air means, not just setting the speaker in the trunk, thats just stupid.

You have to be carefull with any moving face HU. dont fix it your self, as you will fail and have to pay more to fix. unless easy fix like cOla said.

Make sure you sub is hooked into your sub pre-out. Hold down the "audio" button to acces the filters. the sub should go from 20- 200hz and set the mids to 200+hz. Read the manual.. if you dont have it, download it from pioneer web site.

That deck is sick. I have a Premier p960mp and it has an amazing screen, but the touch screen is also cool. tough choice, but for the money you want to spend definatly get one of those two.

You guys did something to your deck cause mine hasn't skipped once since I got it. And all my cds are burned to prevent theft. triple lazer, is very high quality. Buy in confedance, Premier is just as good if not better than any other brand all the way around.
