Wow, lots of idiots here. First of all, wind resistance squares as speed doubles, iirc. More gas. Acceleration enrichment if your speeding up quicker. More gas. All kinds of other factors, I garuntee you use more gas going faster though. Go research the german autobahn.

An oxymoron. Get a decent amp, I switched from a Hifonics 1000d to a Avionixx 1200wrms amp, and the Avionixx pushed it's ACTUAL rating, the Hifonics did not, and there was more of a difference than that in the sound, THD sucks.

Rofl, my alpine does the same thing, turns itself off whenever it feels like it, or just won't start until you play with the faceplate enough. Slapping the faceplate off while drunk may have had something to do with it :p
