I think if it were not for the fact that I have space for a motorized flip-up in my car, I would not have had second thoughts about a possible flip-up instead of a double-din... wondering what else could possibly be a drawback

Can anyone tell me the major differences (and drawbacks) between using a motorized single DIN and a double DIN besides the obvious space issues? Did a few searches but nothing conclusive. I'm guessing a motorized one can break and bend?
