    Help with Alpine CDA-7894

    I was recently given a CDA-7894 from a friend. WHen I went to hook it up I noticed that it was missing the dc/dc convertor. Will this unit work without the convertor? I dont want to waste my time unistalling my current unit if it will not work. Please let me know
