yeah...that sounds about right...100 x 4 wat 4 ohms with 2 speakers would be...200 watts lol do you think i'm going to be overpowering these speakers a little too much? i already have the door speakers installed and running and they sound pretty freekn good

I have a powerbass 1280watt amp. According to the powerbass website, the amp can put out 100 watts x 4 at 4 ohms, 160 watts x 4 at 2 ohms, and 320 watts x 2 at 4 ohms mono...but I downloaded the installation guide and it shows that I can hook up 2 door speakers, and 1 sub...wouldn't that be 3...

well the new 50 amp fuse wouldn't fit in the 4 guage wire so i just rewired with the new amp kit (8 guage) and now the thing is BACK TO LIFE!!! must have been the power wire. THANKS EVERYONE FOR THE HELP!!!

yes it is an AGU FUSE! I got it off of a guy for free, he just had it laying around...I do have an unopened amp kit laying around that has a 50 amp fuse and fuse holder but its for a 680 watt amp...my amp is 1280 watts, but the rms is like 100 watts x 4 at 4 ohms...im hesitant to use this amp...

the remote wire was only previously being ran through a relay. I have since disconnected the relay and ran the remote straight to the amp. you are correct about the 5v not being sufficient, and im sure this is why my amp isn't powering up, but what i'm confused about is why i'm still about to in...

ok so just went and checked the positive terminal on the battery...just over 12v (12.5v) and then checked the amps positive with the cable connected...(5v) so I think i'm starting to understand...maybe the reason the positive on the amp is only 5v is because of the bad ground? it's still...

you say the HF logo lights up on the amp so that means the remote wire is fine, all it needs to do is send a signal to the amp to turn it on and then the power wire from the battery will take care of the rest, but the ground needs to be solid to ensure a strong connection. I would get a digital...

don't know much about a tuner, but the blue/white wire coming from the head unit is the remote wire according to the owners manual, it specifically says to wire the blue/white wire to an external power amp

yeah the amp has 2, 25 amp fuses and theyre both good just checked them, and the inline fuse is good too

Im getting 12v from the remote itself and 12v when its connected to the amp...im getting 12v from power by itself and only around 5v when its connected to the amp...

sorry I'm wrong the remote was connected to 85 on the relay and the parking brake wire was on 30 on the relay

do you mean am I getting 12v with the wires connected to the amp? please be more specific
