I have a US-AMPS USA-1000x and it is in need of repair. I have basically replaced mostly all of the power supply with new parts and the unit does not function properly. It comes on for about 3 seconds and then the audio output fades away. I am completely stumped on what it might be but however...

I am using an ipod but should i try connecting it to my speakers and my alpine headunit in my car? I knw this works because i currently have a 4 channel amp hooked up

there are no numbers, but there are a total of 12 dots going in a circle around the gain, when i turn it past 2, it begins to clip. It also depends on the music. If i were to play somthing with virtually no bass, it could be turned up louder, but if it had heavy bass, it could barealy be turned...

gain is on the right side, (opposite from the speaker and power input connections) and as i slowly turned it up, the protection light blinks as the bass hits. At this point you can hear distortion and if you turn the gain up more, the amp cuts off, cuts back on for a millisecond and cuts off...

have a concept 4 channel amplifier and i am not sure what is wrong with it. It turns on, and plays at very low volumes, but when you try to turn it distorts, the protection cuts on, and the amplifier cuts off. I checked every one of the npn/pnp output transistors and every one tested to be good...
