Hi! I have a pair of XXX mids here... they are very nice, but for the money and size I definitely prefer the L18 or CA18 from Seas. Output is really about the same.. with more snap from the Seas and more lowend from the XXX. Can't go wrong with either mid though.

Yep it's very similar to the Ed8, but a bit beefier. They're also optimized to play midbass as well as subbass. I'd think 500w with music should be no problem for these subs.

How about buying my Koda 8's... they're new and unused. $150 shipped.

Sorry for the confusion.. it's $165 shipped each, or $310 for the pair. Against a Koda 8", it's no contest the tc 8" destroys it in terms of total output and low distortion. My feeling is you'd need 2 Koda 8's to match the performance of this one.
