I just bought a component set (power acoustik xp2k-s0C) it came with two crossovers, but I don't intent to use a amp with it considering my head unit claims to put out 180 watts. Do i even need to use the crossovers?
I used to have pair of hifonics comp subs, (back in 1998) they would bow the trunk in my 1984 cutlass supreme, also bow out the back window. But dunno about there new products you know how speaker companies change owner ship thus quality..
well i found out the problem either my amp was underated or the subs were over rated (doubt that) guess the 500 rms couldn't push the 1400 rms, wiggeling the remote wire just restarted my amp ( it couldn't handle the load)
jl's are over priced overrated not saying there a bad sub. but they don't touch eclipse. (example friend bought two jl w7's and blew them both to hell with only a 500 rms watt amp) i mean i use a jl audio amp but like i said i can buy two power acoustik mofos and never dream of blowing them...
