It ran for four hours last night before i decided to turn it off. The only thing that got hot was the head unit. I'm guessing thats normal though, because part that was hot looks like a heat sink of some sort. It wasn't hot enough to burn skin or melt plastic but it was uncomfortably hot...

hmm, i've got two 16 gauge coming out of the amp for both + and - , so im guessing i can just connect both of those to the battery and it'd be essentially the same as 8 gauge. trying to use the limited supplies I have here
