Heh. Well Alpine is a Japanese company I believe. In Japanese, books are read from back to front (at least as we in North America see it), so I bet that's where some of the organizational issues come from. I've seen it before -- the manual for my Dad's old Mitsubishi television was completely...

I finally decided to pull the trigger on the x100. That price on crutchfield is really good, and the x305 doesn't seem to offer anything new -- you'd think for the extra $40 I had better get something but nope. And again, I like the look of the 100 better too.

I am contemplating the x100 and saw this in the catalog as well. Of note, Alpine lists the Burr Brown encoder in the specs for the x100 as well. Near as I can tell, the x305 is the same headunit with some chrome glued to the knob. The x305 is already available in Asia so it's on the asia Alpine...
