YES, each package including sub, packing material, and cardboard box weighs 40 lbs. I weigh 165, me on a scale holding the package is 205. You must not have held one of these subs before. The magnet alone is 160oz (10 lbs) and the basket is heavy duty cast. not really looking to trade right...
