well what it is every time i have tried to wire the sub up to the amp it goes into protect mode. So i don't know what i am doing wrong so i what i was trying to find out is how to wire the sub up to get the correct load from the amp. Does that make anymore sense i hope. I just want to make sure...

i have a audiopipe ap30001d amp and i am wanting to hook it up to 1 re audio 18". Do i need to hook the sub up for 4ohm to get a 2 ohm load from the amp? the sub is dual 2ohm or 4ohm.
