Whats the deal with aluminum cones?

I guess that Alumapro isn't a mainstream brand... I have never seen or heard one of their drivers before. I am having a hard time finding much info on their subs.... especially the 8". Are they more of a SQ or SPL driver?

Im going to run the front components with 2 ch and bridge the other 2 for the sub... that gives me 260w @4ohm to power the sub. The rear speakers are only fill so Im going to run them with deck power. I think I may go with the Alumapro EX8 unless anyone has a better option...

Is the W3 a good sub for sound quality and low frequency? The amp is an LRX 4.5

What do you guys think of the Alumapro Alusonic EX8 ? Would you choose it over the JL Audio 8w3v2? Thanks in advance.
