And for any Crosstrek drivers, the 3.5s required modification to fit in the dash casings. If you do a search on the Sony on Crutchfield it says it is incompatible for this reason, and it required modification to make then fit.

It was difficult to find a flush mounting spot for the tweeters due to the curvature of the interior design. The amp is screwed into the 40 side split of the 60/40 rear seat, and its all measured out so if I need the 4th seat I can lift the seat to an upright position without hitting the sub.

Oh and it sounds great. It can pump well more bass then I prefer personally, has a cool bass knob to adjust without having to navigate to the EQ. Even when bass is very loud, the mids and highs are not distorted and clear. It's really just the kind of upgrade i was looking for, with more bass...

Hi folks, just an update, my system was installed yesterday. Very clean install, no buzzing or rattling anywhere. The only real issue is a non-issue sort of, but when the bass is really thumping, over time my rearview mirror can get moved out of place. Theres probably a solution for that, but...

Yeah, I didnt much care for it either. It sounds like the metal equivalent of mumble rap to me.

Cool. I'm guessing Primus stuff would be a good test. I also once bought an album on a recommendation by Electric Wizard called Dopethrone. Apparently it has a reputation of being a standard for bass in the doom metal genre. I dont really like the songs on the album. It sounds like complete...

Seems to me that South of Heaven is an album I've ways thought of as a production standard mix-wise. It's not Slayers best album of songs, but I like the mix the best. I cant wait to hear Dave Lombardos drums coming through a good system.

What does the word "clipped" mean in this context?

Just for what it's worth, I have tracks from several Deicide albums, and it's only Legion that I use. Theres something about the mix on that album that is do heavy on all three instruments, and I've never heard it sound good on a low end system, and back in the day, most people's upgrad systems...

I hear you, I just need to simplify because I most of the time put a ton of music on an ipod and just hit shuffle, so I dont want to have to shift through too many options and I'm definitely gonna need 1 "universal" EQ for when my brain goes numb on a long drive. I really dont even know how...

I bet I narrow it down to 4 preset EQs: Metal Rock Reggae Rap Acoustic I'm looking for one thing out of metal, one thing out of hard/light/punk rock, one setting for Reggae, and one setting for Rap/GoGo/Dancehall/Bass music. And then something completely, entirely different for acoustic...

The plan is to disconnect the back speakers. The people who are riding in the back do not exist, except a dog sometimes. I would even give up floor room on one side for the sub, but I dont think it would fit anyways I dont know if stuff like that would add or subtract from the soundscape, I'll...

Does this sound like a legit upgrade package?

Can anyone tell me what to expect in terms of house power should be distributed with this configuration. Would anything at all be running off the radio? Would all speakers be powered by the amp? Is there a certain distribution between the sub and the front package? Am I asking the right...
