Will I regret getting my system installed at Best Buy?

If you really think it is a problem I have an experiment for you. Run a power wire outside of your car and take some RCAs (they don't have to be anything special, I have used walmart RCAs with this experiment) and wrap them around your power wire. Guess what? You won't have noise...

    Fiberglass ranger door pods.

You only used 3 layers of glass? Those are going to be some very weak door pods. I am certainly glad that I am not paying for them...

Will I regret getting my system installed at Best Buy?

I can't believe people still believe this. Running power wires and RCAs on the same side of the car or even zip tied together is not a problem. The chassis carries the same current that the power wire carries...

    Question about Pre-Out voltage...

My only guess on the LPF using power is that you could have had the LPF set a rather low frequency where there actually was some attenuation at 50 hz. I'm glad to hear everything worked out.

    Question about Pre-Out voltage...

Just set it up so that it sounds good to you. If you can't get it to sound good enough, then change the install or the equipment...

    Question about Pre-Out voltage...

Most music is recorded at -6 db and it is dynamic. The only way that you can even reach full power is if you are playing a 0db sine wave. I forgot to mention, when using the method described above use music, not test tones.

    Question about Pre-Out voltage...

You might already know this, but when you increase the "low" setting on your head unit you are actually using the equalizer to boost low frequencies centered around 60 hz for both the sub and the speakers. If I were you, I would set your equalizer flat, this means set your "low", "mid", and...

    Question about Pre-Out voltage...

    1) FYI, A 0 db 50 hz tone is a 0db 50 hz sine wave. A sine wave and a tone are the same thing. 2) It's not surprising that your voltage is so low when you have the volume set at practically half volume. Voltage will increase dramatically as you increase your volume. If you are getting 45 V out...
