I would suggest you to run them at 2ohms on that amp. wire each sub in a series individually.

Which is the better of the two at a 1 ohm load. distortion? power? efficieny? overall quality?

no I mean 2 of the orions or 2 of the aq's. Their in the same price range, so that is not a factor.

by electrical upgrades i mean, i would atleast give the sub their rms. which means i would need (according to the maufacturer) around 2000 to each hcca. the power has to come fron somewhere.

Just out of curiosity. Personally I'd take the audioque's. I like dual sub setups; less electrical upgrades.

I'm interested in purchasing a pair of lanzar optidrive 1232d's or audioque hdc312's. I sure I can get loud, but I want SQ also. Powered by a lanzar opti2000d or crunch 3000 pro. I also heard that the audioque's don't like low tuning is this true? (like low 30s) 2.25 cu ft per sub ported
