    box tuning question

3- 4" dia x 32.25"L ports will keep you well below any port noise happenin. This of course based on that your box gross volume is 4.30 cu.ft Now, if that 4.3 is net volume, then you have to make the box 5.13 cu.ft. gross and use 3 - 4" dia x 23.1280" L ports.

    box tuning question

NO problem man, I saw the mr. there and I thought the comment was directed towards myself. As for the matter at hand, for what it worth, you don't necessarily need to know what subwoofer is to design a ported enclosure since the volume of the enclosure, port area and port lenght determine the...

Well, I saw Mr. there , go figure.

    box tuning question

I know enough that if he increase the size of the enclosure for 2 - 4" dia x 15.5" @ 30Hz, the subwoofer won't have to work as hard to move the air volume required to hit as hard or sound as loud as it wants it to without losing output.

    5th or 6th order box

Well, if you want a compact enclosure, you sure as he!! don't want a bandpass, a bandpass enclosure requires more volume than a sealed or ported enclosure.

    will this work?

By my calculations for that enclosure, the net vol is 2.144 cu.ft and that port size tunes the port to 49.31 hz.

    box tuning question

It is small for that subwoofer, if you crank the he!! outta that sub, your going to get port noise out the wahzoo. Just givin ya heads up. Phil Woodlawn Cabinetry

    will this work?

Left ya a parts list if ya want to use it. You could get the box smaller given that your only driving 700 watts between the subs...... that port size could come down a sh!tload, that'll save ya so room as to the size of the enclosure being smaller Phil Woodlawn Cabinetry

    will this work?

So, you want 2 subs 3.6 cu.ft. per sub tuned 33hz common chamber. What subs you going to be using and how many watts total?

    will this work?

What exactly are you shootin for with with enclosure? Your last design was pooched on the port lenght given the port size and tuning frequency. If the dims for the last design are external dims, you get this. Gross Vol. = 9.26 cu.ft. Net Vol. = 8.29 cu.ft. Slot Port = 4" w x 20" h x 19" l @...
