    Eclipse Cd5000

I am in the same boat here. I am deciding between the 5000 and the 8445. From what i hear the 8445 if used with 2 different amps it splits the voltage inbetween the two, but that is just what i've heard. I think I am going with the 5000 though.

    05 RE XXX 12" vs TC Sounds TC-3000 15"

I can attest to the fact thatd the TC-3000 gets very loud even in a sealed enclosure. Judging by air volume they should be about the same spl, but yes if radiators are used that will easily push the 3000 ahead.

    IDMAX vs. Type X

alright sorry glock. They don't get as loud. SQ is better. Je suis desolee

    Tc- 1000?

a 15 will get louder, lower, and be more efficient than a 10.

    tc sounds sub impedance

yeah the tc2000 can be wired into 1.5 ohms which after wire and box impedance rise should be a little bit over 2 ohms

    I feel stupid!!

no that doesn't hurt it unless it received massive amounts of AC power or something(forgot which one it was) its basically the distortion that overheats the subwoofer. Most likely the sub is fine though.

    IDMaxes In IB or ported?

ID recommends about 2.3 cubic feet tuned to 28 hertz, so that is just fine. As far as power goes, I gave both of mine about 800-900 rms and that seemed to be about the peak power for the subs. They are very efficient and 600 rms would still get you great SQL, although if you can go a little bit...

Diff between IDMAX v2 and v3?

I had the v2 and they were great. The v3 has an aluminum cone i believe??? They really didn't change much about it just some small quirks were ironed out. I had no problem with the v2's at all though. Mark

    IDMAX vs. Type X

yeah i had 2 idmax's in a 6 cubic foot enclosure tuned to 28 hertz and they got really low and sounded great. You probably don't even need 1k rms because they are very sensitive and 1k is more of a thermal sinewave power handling. The Type X's have not been talked about much, probably due to the...

    Which eclipse is best??

I think for now I am going to be running the ctx series image dynamics 5.25" off my deck's amp because it will power them decently. Do you guys think the cd7000 is worth it and is the navigation helpful?? I will be mostly overseas so it would be cool if i could download maps onto it. I like the...

    Which eclipse is best??

I am going to buy An Eclipse headunit for my next setup to change things up from my old pioneer deh-p8600mp. I am looking at the 8445, the CD5000 and the CD7000. I think the navigation features are a plus on the cd series, but the voltages are 5 volts instead of 8 volts. I want something with...

    15" TC-3000 Vs 15" L7

Yeah as others stated the radiators will not be as efficient as vented, due to the fact that the cones have mass and require energy to move) however, the new radiators from tc sounds are capable of over 4" inches of excursion, which will definitely add some output. They will sound better than...

    15" TC-3000 Vs 15" L7

Yeah the 3000 sounds great and has great output in a sealed box, there is no need to go vented. When the radiators become available you can have an incredible sql setup with only about 2 cubic feet.

    (2) IDMAX 12 vs. 13W7

I would definitely recommend 2 idmax's over the W7. I had 2 of those in a 6 cubic foot chamber tuned to 28 hertz, and they were very loud and tonally accurate. As far as power, I gave them about 900 rms and they were fine with that and i don't think they really need any more, especially if in a...

anyone know anything about this sub

Yeah if you have 8 of almost any sub they will get loud. If you have the space and power for those I would go for it, it will get pretty loud and sound good too.
