okay, my main hot wire tested at 14 volts and the remote wire tested at 11 volts.

Do you know what happens when you test a remote wire with a test light? When i do it with a test light it starts bright the goes out but i just tried it with a volt meter and it tested fine? And it only read 11 volts. So will a test light ground it out and make it act like that?

maybe i'll run my ground different when i get a new amp then. I never really thought about it like you explained it lol that would make sense. As far as I can tell it was a fine ground but all that makes sense. Its just strange to me that the remote wire started acting like that at the same time...
