ya that was the problem. So as for hardwiring it, I just cut off the ciggarette lighter and then cut the cig adapter off the sattelite radio power cable. Then crimp the + to + and - to - right?

if that is the problem what can I do to fix it? I'm goin to check it now, so i'll let ya know if it is the prob.

I have a portable car battery charger that has 2 cigarette adapter slots to power 12v items. Would that work to test whether or not its the cigarette lighter?
