Sounds like old MSRP. Any car ordered after Sept 1st went up to a MSRP around 79k. 2010 will bring another price increase..

Sorry if I came across that way, but people like to throw out the tranmission comments or whatever that 45000 comment was supposed to be about.

$5k is the budget including labor. I'd expect the biggest labor cost to be in the sub enclosure to make it look like an original part of the trunk. I feel like $3500-4000 should do it, but I like to be prepared for the unexpected.

A GT-R owner had posted these pics which may help everyone see some mounting options. What sticks out to me is the window track behind the door speaker. The door speaker used was a Micro-Precision 7.16 MK II which I believe has a mounting depth of 68mm.

I haven't had the door panels off yet, but I know it is at least 3".. I seen one bit of information that said 4". So it looks like any quality 6 1/2 should fit.

It looks like the RF and Alpine models recommend the same thing.

Not crazy about that idea - I'd like to keep the volume control on the radio/steering wheel integration. I do understand it is a compromise. I suppose I could test it both ways and see if I feel the difference is worth the inconvenience.

You may be confusing VDC with Launch Control. Of course to use Launch Control, you have to disable VDC.. They will void your warranty if you break while VDC is off or they feel you abused the car - such as 10 launches in a row dry hopping the rear on uneven pavement.

I engage it at every stop light actually. Makes life more interesting.
