That's what I was thinking. What's the reasoning behind this idea though? Is it really that much of a difference to get the tweeter off of the top of the woofer?

I bought a bunch for my deadening project, was planning to put it under panels and stuff before I figured out what I was doing and bought some mass loaded vinyl. I might still stuff it somewhere just to have something to do with it, can't hurt I guess.
