I've got a 2003 GMC Denali do I have to have the GMC interface in order for the factory amp and all the speakers to work?

How to bypass factory Bose amp? 2007 Yukon Denali
I've got a 03 GMC Denali, do I have to have the interface to install a new stereo? I don't care about onstar or steering wheel control. I would like to keep all the speakers working though
