ive made some changes. i got rid of the 12 gauge that i had between my amp and the 4 gauge power and 4 gauge ground. i then trimmed the 4 gauge down a bit and just hooked these two 4 gauge wires up to my amp. still doesnt work. everything is connected right. rewired my sub with dual 14 gauge...

ya ill have to...but first i need to figure out my amp situation. thanks for all the help!

finally got it out. ended up going to bestbuy, getting the keys which didnt help because the hu is bolted in. well i tore the dash apart and learned some more about my setup. well the aux cord i was talking about early goes to a Y with two rca jacks. they then plug into two rca jacks that go...

it has the adapter to turn the blue plug into rca jacks that then go from a y back into a single aux cable. also the hu is mp3 ready so it should work.

yup needs to be on aux. by the way this hu is in a 2000 civic si...if that helps for removing info. and i wish i had the keys but the cars in pieces right now bc of trying to figure this out so im trying to find something else that ill fit in b/w to remove the hu.

it will not play normal from any other sources. just cds and radio play fine on it.

alright i just tried removing the hu, it it will not budge. i dont have the keys to remove it either. i asume after u remove the outer trim, u slide somthing into the small slots on each of the hu?

sorry no owners manual. it came with the car. the headunit says its a supertuner2. with EEQ, mp3 ready, mosfet 50wX4. id say its roughly a 04/05 model, so its not a newer one.

haha yaup. but if i'm on zero voulume on the hu, it wont play, but if im on volume 1 or higher, it will play at the same volume thru the speakers. i know its confused me siince day one. never bothered me till now since im trying to figure out my amp's current overload problem, might as wel try...

its just one aux plug coming out of the back of the hu that goes into the ipod or psp. and the volume is all the way up on both. but turning the hu volume up wont affect the sound at all. ive looked behind the hu by removing the glove box and can see the that aux cable plugs into an rca cable...

thanks for the fast reply! ya ive had the voume all the way up on the ipod and also my psp. still no luck...you can barely hera it going down the road. its been like this ever since i bought my car 4 yrs ago...ive never pulled the hu, the the rcas be plugged into there wrong locations?

ya i tried that, but no luck as much as i turn the hu volume up, the speakers will only play as loud as the ipod will allow it, which isnt very loud at all and there is no emphasis on the music like bass. connections wrong in the back of the hu??
