whats dB-R how do I get it??

I just bought two 12" alpine subs dual 4 ohm 500w rms each. I was thinking of using a Hifonics zxi 1008 it does 1000w x 1chan bridged at 4 ohms Is this a good selection. When bridged at 4 ohms it would supply the 1000w to the subs correct or is this not a good selection?

I'm willing to spend to get the most out of the subs but for the speakers I'm just looking to give them sufficient power nothing to expensive but good enough. four of the speakers are 6x9s and two are 5x7 I'm not sure of the power handling.

I decided to upgrade my system a little so I bought a couple 12" type R 500w rms 4ohm subs and upgraded all six component speakers to Pioneers. I would appreciate some suggestions for amps that would power my new subs the best as well as some good amps to power the speakers. Any suggestions...
