well... found that it is set at 30hz with a slope of 24db/oct... guess a box tuned at 28hz for my RE SX is out of the question then, huh

Hey guys, I just picked up a Polk Audio 1200.1 for my type-r 10's. It has a SSF but the choices are ON/OFF.... I can't find where it says what frequency it actually cuts off at, nor is it adjustable... Do I have to find out what frequency it cuts off at and then keep my box tuning within 10hz...

I def wouldn't say "murdered out".... it's tinted tails/signals/windows..... I wouldn't even consider mine "murdered out": It's a nice clean truck, and the tint looks good, just not "murdered out"

Also, if the pully is getting really hot really fast it could be the bearings transferring heat through the pully

If you can't get belt dressing, just put a few drops of water on the inside of the belt while it's squeeling.... all you need to do is see if it changes the sound of the squeel.... it'll narrow down you're problem

I'm guessing when it gets loose enough it's just that its not tight enough to squeel... but it's still slipping OR The bearings are squeeling in the alternator and the tighter you get the belt the more the load on the bearings.... Hope not, but maybe One way to tell is to get it running w/it...
