    Someone at Diamond Audio finally responded to an email of mine, and while they don't repair speakers and being the M5 has long been discontinued, they suggested I replace it with a D6 for $43.50. Might as well go that route.. fixing this tinsel wire looks like a nightmare of a job.

    Broken Tinsel Wire

    Hi guys.. I have a Diamond Audio M5 6.5" speaker with a broken tinsel wire. Anyone know where I can send it off to have it repaired? Already tried calling DA, but they don't repair them. I could also attempt the repair myself, but I'm not sure how to go about it. pics:
