DO you think the 1,000 watts might be overpowered a little?

Are 2 12" kicker CVR subs in a 3.5 cubic vented box with a 1,000 watt amp for $200 a good deal? or should I try to get them cheaper? The amp is a Hifonics HFI 1000.1d. What should I offer? Thanks to all who can help
