The Alpine CDA-9825 retails for $199 and has 3 4v preouts.

I have an Alpine with 3 Pre-outs (4v), model 9805. I really like it, especially because it came with the sub out and it is under $200 (retail).

I've always liked Pioneer for head units, but I have to say my preference is Alpine. If you're going to add a sub later, look for a deck that has a sub out. You can find them retailing from $200 and up.

Out of the two, I prefer Pioneer. If it is a deck you're thinking about, I would also consider Alpine. Great product in the same price range. I would say the same for speakers that I prefer Pioneer out of the two. Subwoofers is a different ball game.
