Actually the amp is 80 X 4. So i would be overpowering each speaker by 20 watts...but I could adjust this with gain control, corrrect?

Yeah, i had planned on bridging it. I can get 225 X 2 at 4ohms. That's 450 Watts into 1 10" type R sub, which is rated at 500 watts RMS. What do you think?

I have a pair of infinity 6012i (6.5") in my doors. They are rate at 2-60 watts RMS. I have a profile 80 X 4 amp and would like to use it to power these speakers. Here is my question: Will it hurt my speakers to overpower them? (80 watts into a 60 watts speakers) Noob question...I know...

Question 1: I have an excessive amount of 4 gauge speaker wire. Will it hurt my 6 1/2 door speakers to wire them (from my amp) with such huge wire? Question 2: Is 80 watts too much power for a speaker with 60 watts RMS? This is what I've purchased (and haven't installed yet) Amplifier...
