same power in both situations? u may have more cone area vs the +3db for ported, but if u cant move four magnets effeciently enough your 1 sub is gonna tear the four a new *******

ive got 3 sealed, hit 145 db's, they may be kickers "best sounding" subs but i honestly think they sound like ****, they get loud and take alot of power tho

focal utopias, they're a little pricey tho

fyi by kickers specs and powerhandling you could run 4 cvr 10's sealed in a smaller box than 1 cvr 15 in a ported box large enough to do 600rms, not sure if your amp could push 4

after box rise u will be fine

why not do 2 10 cvr's in a small sealed box

with the kicker subs to get the max powerhandling you have to use the smallest sealed box, or biggest ported box specs, my cvx 12's handle 750, but on the other end of the spectrum they only do 300

anyone familiar with the new amps? subwoofer wise im losing the hifonics and either gonna run 2 pdx m12's or 2 kicker zx1500's on 4 12" kicker cvx's. any thoughts?
