Do these subs only come in a dual - 4 ohm config? My amp runs best at 4 ohms... so if that is the case I would only be able to run 2 or 8 ohms right?

I actually have the same problem. I have a Alpine cda-9807 with a older Rockford Fosgate Punch amp. When I previously had a Power Acoustik amp hooked up to some subs, I don't recall having the problem. I currently have the RF punch amp connected, and when I start my car the sub does the same...
